Swiss Consumer Price Index in September 2018: +1.0 percent YoY, +0.1 percent MoM

Neuchâtel, 5 October 2018 (FSO) – The consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.1% in September 2018 compared with the previous month, reaching 101.9 points (December 2015 = 100). Inflation was 1.0% compared with the same month of the previous year. These are the results of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO). The 0.1% increase compared with the previous month can be explained by several factors including rising prices for clothing and fresh vegetables. In contrast, prices for international package holidays and air transport decreased. German Text: Die Konsumentenpreise sind im September um 0,1% gestiegen

Neuchâtel, 5. Oktober 2018 (BFS) – Der Landesindex der Konsumentenpreise (LIK) stieg im September 2018 im Vergleich zum Vormonat um 0,1% auf 101,9 Punkte an (Dezember 2015 = 100). Gegenüber dem Vorjahresmonat betrug die Teuerung 1,0%. Dies geht aus den Zahlen des Bundesamtes für Statistik (BFS) hervor.

Der Anstieg um 0,1% im Vergleich zum Vormonat ist auf verschiedene Faktoren zurückzuführen, unter anderem auf die gestiegenen Preise im Bekleidungssektor sowie für Frischgemüse. Die Preise für Pauschalreisen ins Ausland sowie jene für Luftverkehr sind hingegen gesunken.
