Die Förderung von Datenkompetenz fängt damit an, dass wir uns einigen, wovon wir überhaupt sprechen. Klare Definitionen und Leitprinzipien sind wichtig. Sie geben uns eine gemeinsame Sprache, ein einheitliches Verständnis. So können wir Missverständnisse vermeiden, zusammenarbeiten, die richtigen Fragen stellen, und gemeinsam und aufgeklärt passende Lösungen finden.

Wir brauchen eine datenkompetente Gesellschaft, aber auch eine datenkompetente Verwaltung.
Wie wollen wir als Land mit unseren Daten umgehen, damit wir sie selbstbestimmt und souverän nutzen können? Für die gemeinsame Beantwortung dieser Frage brauchen wir eine datenkompetente Gesellschaft, aber auch eine datenkompetente Verwaltung. Hier kann das Bundesamt für Statistik helfen. Denn: Statistiken erstellen bedeutet, mit Daten zu arbeiten. Diese Kompetenz nutzt das BFS auch in seinen weiteren Tätigkeitsfeldern Datenbewirtschaftung und Datenwissenschaft/KI. Das macht das BFS zum Kompetenzzentrum und Knotenpunkt im Datenökosystem Schweiz.

An dieser Medienkonferenz werden erste Ergebnisse der Schweizerischen Lohnstrukturerhebung (LSE) 2022 präsentiert. Die LSE ist eine schriftliche Befragung, die alle zwei Jahre bei den Unternehmen in der Schweiz durchgeführt wird. Sie erlaubt eine regelmässige Beschreibung der Lohnstruktur in allen Branchen des sekundären und tertiären Sektors.
