Why did the Beyeler Foundation recruit Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves to open its new exhibition of major works by the artist Paul Gauguin? US skier found after days lost in snow

A skier who was lost for two days in the snow in the Swiss Alps describes his ordeal. Mark Doose, a student of biotechnology at Lausanne’s Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) , was skiing in the Diableret region of canton Vaud when he lost his way in a snow storm. Arsenal football club buys Swiss fake grass

One of Britain’s top football teams – Arsenal – will soon be playing on Swiss artificial turf. The London club has ordered 1,400 m2 of the grass from the Tisca Tiara textile company in Appenzell Outer Rhodes. Club members came to Switzerland in 2014 to inspect playing fields developed by the company.
