Swiss government aims to loosen marijuana laws

Currently, patients have to apply for an exception from the Federal Office of Public Health to get a prescription. Around 3,000 people were granted an exception last year. The growing, processing and sale medical of cannabis would all become possible under a regulated system. However, non-medical cannabis would continue to be illegal.
