Swiss chef wins world’s best restaurant award

He has been the co-owner of the New York restaurant since 2006. The only Swiss restaurant in this year’s list was 3-Michelin-starred Schauenstein run by Andreas Caminada, in Fürstenau in Graubunden. In 2017, it came 72nd (there are 100 restaurants in the top 50). In 2016, it was 47th.

Daniel Humm, co-owner of the restaurant Eleven Madison Park, comes from Strengelbach in Switzerland, and earned his first Michelin star at 24. Anyone wishing to dine at Eleven Madison Park will need to book fast. The restaurant will be closed for renovation in June.
