23.04.2021 – In 2019, hospitals in Switzerland were equipped with 215 MRI devices, representing an increase of 25% in five years. They also had 219 scanners (+9% in five years). In total, almost 1.18 million scans and 1.06 million MRI screenings were carried out in Switzerland in 2019. Hospital scanners are increasingly in demand: the number of scans carried out every day on average per device increased from 11 in 2014 to 13 in 2019.
