For Switzerland, the study calculated an average gross salary of CHF 164,000 for a middle manager, well ahead of second-placed Luxembourg. paying CHF 110,000 for a similar position. Specialists at the beginning of their careers averaged CHF 89,500 in Switzerland. Even after taxes and living costs, Swiss workers came out on top, with higher spending power. A average middle management salary after adjusting for spending power and taxes was CHF 97,000, compared to CHF 91,000 in Luxembourg.
