Der Bitcoin hat massiv an Wert verloren. Am späten Mittwochabend lag der Kurs der Digital-Anlage Bitcoin noch über der Marke von 60'000 US-Dollar, um dann innerhalb von zwölf Stunden rund 5 Prozent abzustürzen.

Eine gefälschte Mitteilung zur Zulassung börsengehandelter Bitcoin-Fonds (ETF) hat kurzzeitig für Euphorie in der Kryptobranche gesorgt.

Der Bitcoin hat seine Rally am Wochenende mit dem Sprung über die Marke von 40 000 US-Dollar fortgesetzt. Mit dem Kurssprung kommt der Bitcoin nun wieder auf einen Marktwert von mehr als 800 Milliarden Dollar.

Crypto comparison website Bitstacker conducted a study which found that there was a 70% drop in Bitcoin millionaires in November 2022 when compared to January 2022 due to the ongoing ‘crypto winter’. 72,000 Bitcoin holders were no longer millionaires due to the drop in BTC prices from US$46,208 at the start of 2022 to US$15,759 at the time of the study in November.
